Poorly installed engines - Engine installation is crucial when it comes to boat safety because engines need to be placed so they do not interfere with other parts of a vessel's structure. If an engine isn't installed properly, it could cause severe damage to other parts of a boat's structure, such as its hull and cabin walls.

When a manufacturer fails to honor its warranty obligations, it is called a breach of warranty. You have had to repair the same problem repeatedly within the first 18 months of ownership.
The dealer has not responded to your complaints about the boat in a timely manner (usually less than one month).
The boat has been purchased from a retailer, and the retailer cannot be contacted by phone or email after several attempts.
You have made several attempts at getting repairs done and have not been successful in resolving the issue with the dealer or manufacturer (either directly or through an attorney).
The vessel has been repaired more than once, and the repairs have failed. The repairs may involve patching holes in the hull, fixing defective engines, or replacing faulty electronics.
The boat has significant problems that repeatedly occur over time. For example, if the engine stops working every few months, it is considered a lemon because it is not performing as expected.
The problem has been repaired four or more times during the first 18 months of ownership, and one repair was done by an authorized dealer, or by someone working under the supervision of an authorized dealer.
The boat is severely underperforming as compared to its advertised performance specifications. For example, if the boat is advertised as able to reach 30 knots and it only reaches 25 knots, then it would be considered a lemon.
